Capital Markets and Financial Technology consultant, Robin M Trott, is a former head of Prime Services’ Electronic Business in both Europe and Asia, where he owned, managed and sold low-touch electronic execution for all listed derivatives order flow. Over the course of 15 years with Citi and JPMorgan, he bridged the gap between trading and technology – creating scale, efficiency and product differentiation, resulting in superior client service, client acquisition & significant growth of market share.

Robin has sponsored as well as project-managed Risk and Trading systems, designing, developing and deploying complex global platforms. Alongside managing programmes and transformational change, his achievements include the design and seamless implementation of Ullink/itiviti OMS, Fidessa/ION Derivative Trader Workstation and also various in house applications. At various times he has programme managed deployments across Europe, Asia, Americas, across over 60 exchanges, covering all trading desks, over 4,000 trading users and well over 200 clients. He also led regulatory advocacy and planning efforts (including for MiFID II), and Operational Risk initiatives. 

Robin’s areas of expertise covers front to back process and financial technology (legacy and cutting edge) across asset class and institution. Most recently he has provided Project Mobilisation and Regtech solutions for Wealth Management.  Robin has an MSc in Finance from the Henley Business School, and recently completed HBS’ Executive Hedge Fund Program and training on IBOR transition. Outside of work, he is a trail running enthusiast and enjoys travelling for mountain marathons.
